This isn’t the post that’s been rattling around in my brain these last few days. I’ll write that one over the next few days. I hope.
But, in checking my WordPress app for the most recent published post, I was truly astonished to find that said post was dated July 29, 2024!!
How can that be?! Oh well, it is what it is and maybe now I can get back to it. The Z Kids – as Monika over at “Tails Around the Ranch” so aptly nicknamed Zen and Zoey – are doing well. I have my off days, but mostly I’ve learned how to let loss and love exist side-by-side in my everyday life.
I can’t say that I’m back on any kind of blogging schedule. Or, for that matter, on any kind of schedule. The freedom of not having to have a set routine seven days a week these last almost four years has been good for my soul if nothing else.
After years of juggling doctor and dentist appointments, work requirements, vet visits with the dogs, and just daily life events for two people, it has been nice to have the time in the morning to just sit and enjoy my two cups of coffee.
But it has also made me somewhat blasé about housework. 🤣 And, tbh, I have no intention of going back to being a slave to it! Anyone who doesn’t like seeing dog fur bunnies on the floor, the furniture, or anywhere else in the house can – to be blunt – just keep it to themselves or keep away.
So with all that said on this “Nature Friday”, here’s a photo I took (with my phone) of a sunflower that popped up in the area around my bird feeders a couple of weeks ago.

Have a great weekend everyone! Maybe, hopefully, I’ll “see” you next sometime. ☀️☀️🌺🌸🌼🌻🪺✨✨
A lovely post, Sue. 💙 And thanks for sharing that gorgeous sunflower. Who wouldn’t smile broadly looking at that beautiful bloom? Hugs and tail wiggles. I’m with you, at our age, life is richer/better when there aren’t obligations to do x, y, z on a schedule. Keep it up, girlfriend! And give the Z-kiddos a good ear rub from me.

Good to see a post from you and I’m with you on dust, housework and our babies making messes. It’s our home and if you don’t like it…too bad.
I used to blog seven days a week, then five days a week and now three days a week. So far that’s working for me.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. Scritches to the pups. ♥

A beautiful sunflower, so cheerful!
I hear you on the doggy dust doggies, BOL! I swear, Benji has a cloud following him, and they fall off to house themselves everywhere…and since I have to do all the outside chores around here, the dust doggies seem to have spontaneous generation! BOL!
Enjoy your ‘freedom’…I still work, once in a while, and blog mostly just once a week, and try to enjoy such free time as I can.
Hugs!
