Spring here in Taylors, SC, is great – when it’s not raining – the girls and I can relax in the backyard. The temperatures are in the low 70s (today at least) AND the warmest part of the day is right around 4 pm.
And the best part is there are NO BUGS yet! There are a few bumble bees here and there; but the yellow jackets, noseeums, and fire ants are still hibernating in their underground homes.

So happy there are no bugs. It might be one of the silly best things about living in the Rocky Mountain region. Low humidity, minimal bugs unless you’re near a lake then it’s all bets off! π Enjoy.

No bugs is always a good thing! That might be one of my favorite parts of early spring. π It looks nice there…it looks like the grass and some trees are just turning green? We’re getting 60’s today, but it’s going to plunge again for a few days. Typical. Well, we’ll just enjoy every day as we get it, knowing that pretty soon it will take a turn for the better. Of course, then the bugs will come out! π¦

No bugs is wonderful! It won’t be long before they arrive…phooey. They say we will have a bad year.

We probably will have another bad year – bug-wise – since we’ve had a rainy fall, winter, and spring. We can’t win: if it’s dry then we get fewer bugs and a drought; if it’s wet we get more bugs and possibly floods. Oh well. It would be nice if we could get a happy medium once in a while. π

Ahhh!!! That sounds heavenly! We’ve had a few warm days, but we’re not quite to spring yet here… but I’ll look at your pics and dream!

It’s the bugs, I can’t take the bugs. Do you have a LOT of bugs?
Thank you for joining the blog hop.

During the summer and early fall we do. Usually, by 9am the summer bugs are out in full force and the girls and I run for cover inside the house.

Sounds like a little bit of heaven. Although I’d love warmer temps, I love enjoying March in the 70s. Back in Ithaca, we’d still be getting snow.
BTW, close to the water, I think we have your bugs. I’m sure they’ll be heading your way soon. π
