Geez, is it really the last week of March already?! In another few days Zen will have been two weeks out from his first birthday! Where has the time gone?
I’ve been taking self-imposed breaks from blogging – and most everything else as well – mainly to keep the perfectionist in me at bay. That little demon on my shoulder, whispering in my ear, telling me that I need to do a better job of this or that. And so far I’ve been pretty successful at telling him to “bugger off” and leave me alone. (I watched “Darkest Hour” again the other night and laughed every time Sir Winston used “bugger” instead of “the f word”.)
Anyway, I’ve gotten a few things done on my “to do” list, especially the most important one. One other I can only do when the county property office returns my call from last week. And a third I can only do while my brother is here to stay with the pups. (Because one can never tell up front how long it will take to accomplish any task at the motor vehicle office.)
So, in between taking care of house cleaning, budget, and other assorted tasks, I’ve been playing with the Z Kids and watching them play with each other. And watching programs on the History Vault (thank you, Prime, for picking up old History Channel programs from the years when they were actually history related). Anyway, here are some pix and videos of of the Z Kids.

The Z Kids are my rocks, my grounders, my reasons for getting out of bed some mornings, my pride and joy (both of them being both pride and joy). They make me crazy at times, but they are definitely my angels with paws. They make every day a happy one, in spite of my leaky-eye times.
The kids are looking great, and I’m so glad you have them to help you through this tough time. It sounds like you keep quite busy too, but watching the kids play is a great way to relax and bring on a smile!

Thanks! These two have been my rocks through it all. Zen still “channels” Sam for me when I need a hug, too. And Zoey gets jealous and tries to join in. π

I know what you mean about blogging trying to ‘take over’…and along with all the other chores and junk that need doing…plus work…yup…life is like being on a hamster wheel!
Your pups play like mine…and I used to keep a harness on them, too…but no longer, since Dalton chewed off the one Benji was wearing. I thought since they have free run of the yard most of the time, (when we are home), it could be a strangling hazard. So now its just the regular collars ands the harness is for walks or travel.
Pets sure do brighten or lives, and bring a lot of joy into them as well.

I would prefer not having the harnesses on them; but it’s my only way of getting them off each other when play starts getting too rough. With Zen weighing (at least) 82 lbs., he’s only 43 lbs. lighter than me. And he’s A LOT stronger most times. But I’m always right here with them – or another human is if not me – so I don’t have to worry about that aspect. Same in the back yard. (We have a neighbor that I don’t trust any further than I could throw him, so the dogs are never outside without human supervision.)
Yes, our pets might be part demon at times; but they are always angels with paws. These two have been a godsend from day one, just as each of their predecessors were (and always will be).

Aww, can never receive too many pics of the Z-Kids. I completely understand about the day to day busyness. I often wonder how I worked a full time (and super stressful job) as well as prepare loads of blog posts and our regular round of hospital visits. These days I freak out with an overfilled inbox, and all the curve balls life seems to throw my direction. This must be a sure sign of aging. Sigh. Be good to yourself; we’ll be here when you get back. Good luck at the DMV-the great ‘equalizer’ of the masses. π

The Z-Kids are so darn cute, such sweeties! The last time I was at the DMV I was in and out in no time. I hope you have the same luck.

Thanks! And WOW! Which DMV office were you at?? The one here in Greer is always slower than π©.

It’s good to know I’m not the only perfectionist around. I do the very same things as you do. I’ve redone things over and over until I’m happy. I’m only blogging three days a week now and I’m happy about that. It’s taken a lot of stress off my plate.
Your pups are most adorable and I loved the video. Made me smile.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to the pups. β₯

Thank YOU for adding our link to the hop! I was about to do that myself.
My Dad was a perfectionist, so I must have inherited the trait – for good or bad – from him. Mom was pretty laid back and had the patience of a saint (she had to in order to put up with my brother and me π€£).
